Checkbook Cover
Posted in crafty mama on 04/13/2008 10:46 am by Mommy RimesDuring Spring Break, I made a few fun little items. This is one of them.
Oh yeah, and I was feeling all artistic and stuff with the lighting in my shot. Please forgive me.
So, this cute little checkbook cover was made possible through a tutorial at Mudmuffins and Woogiemonsters.
I used two very small pieces of hand marbled fabric I found at a Quilt Show. It was very labor intensive to create (read PRICEY) so I only got the two pieces. As it turns out, they were just about EXACTLY the right size for this project. See, I knew I bought them for a reason.
The inside pockets are just some bland white fabric with a small print on it.
And, as Ben says, “well, it’s only a little pink.” Which means he won’t feel too girly using my new checkbook cover. It’s a good thing I’m the one who pays the bills, huh?

I agree… it’s a beautiful piece of fabric and makes a very nice checkbook cover.
Is there a way to add a little ring of fabric in the middle to hold a pen?
