Over at Mommy Knows she’s doing a fun little quote game. I thought I’d post it here and see what happens.
- Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
- Turn to page 11.
- Find the eleventh sentence.
- Post that sentence in a comment here; include the title of book and author.
Mine is from “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
(For those of you checking, yes, it is different from the book I quoted at Mommy Knows. I’ve moved, and this one was now closest)
” With that precaution they tried to postpone the necessity of having to eat macaws, whose blue flesh had a harsh and musky taste.”
That’s uplifting, isn’t it? I haven’t read this book yet, but it’s on my list of books to read. I also want to read “Love in the Time of Cholera” also by Marquez.
